PITTSBURGH ASSIGNS 13 TO WILKES-BARRE

groupWILKES-BARRE, PA –   The Pittsburgh Penguins have reduced their training camp roster to 29 players, it was announced Tuesday by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero.

Thirteen players have been assigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins.  The 13 players include forwards Kris Beech, Ryan Stone, Adam Henrich, Aaron Boogaard, Tim Wallace, Jonathan Filewich, David Gove and Christopher Minard; defensemen Deryk Engelland, T.J. Kemp, Ben Lovejoy and Joey Mormina; and goaltender David Brown.

The Penguins first preseason game takes place on Friday, September 26 in Binghamton against the Senators, with a return game on Saturday, September 27 in Wilkes-Barre.  The Pens’ regular season gets underway on Wednesday, October 8 at home against the Hershey Bears.
