PARENT PENGUINS RE-SIGN FORWARD TIM BRENT
The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed center Tim Brent, it was announced today by Assistant General Manager Chuck Fletcher.
Brent, 23, was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for center Stephen Dixon on June 23, 2007. He appeared in 15 games for the Ducks last season, registering one goal and six penalty minutes, and also played 48 games with the Portland Pirates, the Ducks’ AHL affiliate, posting 30 points (16+14) and 40 penalty minutes.
The 6-0, 197 pound native of Cambridge, ON was selected by the Ducks in the third round (75th overall) of the 2004 Entry Draft.
