PENGUINS RELEASE CLEAR DAY ROSTER

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have set their roster for the American Hockey League’s Clear Day period, it was announced on Thursday.

AHL CLEAR DAY ROSTERS

According to AHL by-laws, only those 22 players (20 skaters and two goalies) listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remaining five weeks of the 2008-09 AHL regular season and in the 2009 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension. Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.

The Penguins Clear Day Roster is:

GOALTENDERS:  John Curry and Adam Berkhoel

DEFENSEMEN:  Jean-Philippe Cote, Jon D’Aversa, Deryk Engelland, Alex Goligoski, Ben Lovejoy, Joey Mormina and Andy Wozniewski

FORWARDS:  Paul Bissonnette, Luca Caputi, Jean-Michel Daoust, Connor James, Dustin Jeffrey, Nick Johnson, Mark Letestu, Chris Minard, Janne Pesonen, Miroslav Satan, Jeff Taffe, Bill Thomas and Tim Wallace
