MORRISON RECALLED BY PENGUINS

WILKES-BARRE, PA –The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have recalled forward Jordan Morrison from the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, it was announced Friday morning.  Morrison will join the team when the Penguins take on the Binghamton Senators tonight at Broome County Memorial Veterans Arena at 7:05 pm.

Morrison, 22, is the current leading scorer for the ECHL with 52 points and 36 assists in 37 games.  The 6-0, 170 lb rookie from Uxbridge, Ontario  was signed by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as a free agent on October 1, 2008. 

Before his career with the Nailers, Morrison made his professional debut last year with the Texas Wildcatters (ECHL) where he recorded 3 points in 4 games and tallied 4 points in 9 playoff games.  Prior to his ECHL career, Morrison spent 2 years with Dalhousie University where he led the team with 20 assists and 33 points in 28 games and was ranked tied for second on the team with 13 goals in the 2007-08 season.
